Not that I recall. Usually I wake up as the car is falling or right after it hits the water and I'm going through the mental escape checklist. You know, the "Okay, don't panic, think about what I need to do to get out of this situation" thing. I always wake up before I have to go through the trouble of waiting for the car to fill and breaking out a window. I'm frightened, but not paralyzed with fear.

Impending doom could be an unwanted event OR an event that brings up fear but may actually have an positive outcome. Sometimes the scary thing in the dream is actually something trying to help us, but in our fear we run from it.

In breaking it down like this does it trigger anything for you? Does anything resonate or completely feel off base? Although dream symbols have some universal explanations they are often very personal too so just thought I'd break it down a bit and send it back to your innate wisdom.

I had a very odd dream a few weeks ago. There wasn't much to it but I was completely baffled when I woke up.

I was in a house, very plain. White walls with wooden door frames and trim. There was one wall, shared by a bedroom and a main room, that held my interest. If I touched the wall, the world would be destroyed. I don't know if it was just me or anyone who would cause the destruction. Was it Armageddon? I don't know. The extra weird part was that on the bed in the bedroom, there were pillows and blankets pushed up against that wall. I'm not sure if touching those things would have the same effect. The impending doom seemed to be the most curious part to me in this dream. I think I was alone in this house and there was nothing mysterious or dark. From what I could tell there were artificial lights in the house. I didn't notice anything other than the wall color, woodgrain, and the stuff on the bed.

Very bizzare. Thoughts anyone?

The people and places are familliar to my dream-self, almost as if I'm taking a few moments to coexist in someone else's head for a little while. I've even been female in dreams before. Very strange.

I have water dreams quite a bit, too. Often I'm on a dilapidated bridge that could fall apart at any moment and I can see sharks in the water. Sometimes I'm driving or riding in a car that's trying to cross a bridge that is flooded and slightly submerged (with no guardrails) so I can't tell when I'm about to drive off the bridge into the abyss below, which always happens in the dream. Sometimes a section of the bridge has collapsed under the water and I can't see it until I drive off. I usually wake up shortly after the car goes over the edge.

I always had the strangest and most vivid dreams back when I was living on my boat (I miss that, btw. That was my favorite place I've ever lived. Still got the boat, but I'm back to being a dirt-dweller). Something about the gentle rocking motion at night, I guess.

In my more intense younger years my dreams were usually like a good action movie where I was saving people (Rambo meets D&D, lol). I could fly/levitate, read minds and was usually aware that I was dreaming. Now I'm not so much into saving but I do a lot of levitation/flying and symbols often relating to where I am internally or things that need to be worked on. Sometimes I just fly through different pieces of dreams and places and have a wonderful time and sometimes I fly close to the ground with dark beings trying to grab at me and pull me down (usually happen if I have some internal issues I need to deal with and/or ate too heavy of meal before bedtime).

I love dream time - daydreams and night dreams as they are a great 'safe' place to work things out and also to get insight into what's going on behind our conscious thoughts.
