        Whale Rider was a really good movie. I didn't think I'd like it at first, but I was really surprised. The Corpse Bride was really cute, too. I had to go see that one by myself because I couldn't talk anyone into going with me :( That was okay. They missed out on a good movie :P

    I've never been big into movies. Growing up, we never had a VCR so the only movies I saw were in theaters or at friends houses. Both were rare occasions. It wasn't until I got to college that I started watching more movies. Even still, I don't watch very many.

    I enjoy Documentaries and Independent films. We've had Netflix for such a long time but I'm so damn picky. :)

      "Witch Mountain" and "Watcher" were great movies. I miss those old-style Disney movies. They had a certain wholesome innocence that's missing from most movies today.

      Secret of Nimh scared the crap out of me and upset me greatly when I saw it in the theater as a little kid. Haven't seen it since ;)

    Little women – with Winona Ryder

    Maria full of grace – painful hence poignant – definitely recommend

    Calendar Girls - I think it's an awesome movie!

    Movies I think are good:
    Just saw "Kinsey" - not a favourite but I think it's great
    LOTR - pretty good too, I love how touching it is (the relationships, the values of the characters, etc.)
    How to lose a guy in 10 days
    Before Sunset/Sunrise
    Tristan and Isolde - pretty good too

      I agree with just about every movie listed. These ones aren't listed anywhere yet, and deserve a mention.
      Slightly darker movies than most lists, but that's because the happy movies were already taken :)
