It's kind of distressing for an intuitive to observe their environment cause they are easily stimulated, so they daydream instead.

I mean I think that is at least part of the reason intuitives happen.

Since I was a child I have been very sensitive to different smells from melted cheese and garlic to silver polishing stuff and artificial flavours. However, visual input is usually what causes me most problems but maybe it is a different story than the auditory ones.
I used to suffer a lot from severe migraines that would last for days and the only medicine was to get the doctor to give me a shot to knock me out. I was eventually sent to see a neurologist, who came up with the conclusion that my mind registers too much information, sort of a visual overload – maybe an overload in other regards as well? Driving down boulevards with trees lining each side makes me very nauseous. I have to close my eyes (if I am not driving that is) or I have to focus sternly at the “light at the end of the tunnel”. Old monitors flicker as they update. Something people usually don’t pick up on but it makes me quite sick to look at, even briefly. I don’t look down if I walk down a footpath with for instance cobbled stones, as the moving pattern that disappears underneath me disturbs me. I never wear patterned clothes. I am better at coping with bright colours now. Sometimes, it would be nice to be able to filter all the information! It makes me tired.

Yes, I'm also very sensitive to the noise TVs make even when they're on mute. I always have been. I remember walking into my elementary school library as a kid & saying "there's a TV on in here." The librarian said "I don't hear a TV" and I said "No, the sound is off but i swear it's on." I walked all over until I found one of the TVs on carts that teachers could take to their classrooms & sure enough, it was plugged in & turned on, with no sound.

My sense of smell is pretty crummy, since I've got a perpetually stuffed-up nose. My hearing is very good, though. I can hear very quiet things and very high pitched things that most folks can't (like the high-pitched whine TV's make when they are on).

Oddly enough, I have a hard time hearing and understanding spoken communication when there's a lot of background noise. I think it has to do with my sensitive ears being overloaded. I don't know. It seems to get worse as I get older, but I can still hear high pitches and quiet sounds, which are usually the things to go when hearling loss sets in. Who knows?
